UP Subsonus
With Olex version 12.0 support for Subsonus was introduced. Subsonus is a submarine positioning system consisting of a small sonar on the boat and one or more transponders - tags attached to underwater objects, such as fishing gear, anchors, ROVs, drones or divers.
In order for Olex to decode the information from Subsonus, the UP software module is needed.
Note that the UP module can only interface with Subsonus units, delivered and configured by Olex AS.
Each transponder or "tag" has its own unique number, which is easily added to Olex. Independently of each other, the tags speak to the sonar and tell their pitch, roll, tilt and heading. The tags appear in Olex in 2D and 3D, and can be tracked with their own drag lines. In Olex one can set the degree of tilt that must be tolerated before a tag is considered to have reached the seabed. Olex then begins to refine the position of a new event mark in such a way that the 10 closest observations are, on average, intended for a better, more accurate position. Two tags can be "linked" together, so that they appear on the screen, with a line and mutually distance between them.
